Distributing Computing Laboratory

Back to Home

The Cluster Computing Project has built a specialized laboratory to support research and course work in computer networking and distributed computing. The laboratory has 25 computers running the Linux Red Hat 7.2 operating system. The Lab offers high-speed access to the Computational and Database Clusters. In addition, the lab provides a suitable environment for developing client/server and distributed applications. The lab also provides Linux utilities useful for monitoring, managing and studying computer networks (e.g., Ethereal, NTOP and NetSaint).
